5/30/2023 0 Comments Heidi by johanna spyri 1925![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As I was reading it, I thought that Heidi was perhaps like the actual historical figure Kaspar Hauser, the "wild child" of Europe, who was kidnapped as a child (he was actually a German prince of some sort) and lived in the basement of a farmhouse in Europe with only a wooden horse for a plaything. Well, it's taken me decades to finally dare to read it, and it was rather a piece of cake. This was a book that I remember seeing a copy of when I was in first or second grade, and I tried to read a few pages and decided that it was just too advanced a book for me to read, and I thenceforth decided that I was never going to be a prolific reader. ![]()
